Female Ethiopian farmers become Eataly suppliers
In 2013, the Italian marketplace Eataly and FAO joined forces to support family farmers around the globe, boosting their production and finding new overseas customers. Today more than 3,300 pounds of cactus pear marmalade is manufactured by a women’s cooperative in Ethiopia and sold at Eataly in Rome.
