
Online veg box scheme empowers smallholder farmers
For local vegetable farmers in developing countries like Kenya, not being able to find customers or a market for their products means their valuable produce often gets wasted, or they get exploited by not receiving adequate prices for their goods.
In response to these challenges, tech entrepreneur Winston Wachanga decide to leveraging the growing internet penetration in the continent and tap into Africa’s rising middle class, to set up a vegetable delivery company called Kitchen Soko.
